Assistant Manager, Family Mobile Home Parks
Our family owns and operates three mobile home parks across Washington State. Growing up around this business gave me an early understanding of what affordable housing actually looks like on the ground — not as a policy talking point, but as real homes for real families.
As assistant manager, I handle the day-to-day realities of running these communities — from maintenance issues and tenant situations to understanding the economics of what keeps affordable housing viable. It is hands-on, unglamorous work at times, and that is exactly what makes it valuable.
Beyond the operational side, I am deeply committed to the people who live in these communities. At Sound Vista, I created Sound Vista Kids — an annual program that celebrates the creativity of our youngest residents and fosters a genuine sense of belonging and pride among families. I also work to connect tenants with rent assistance resources, helping families navigate financial hardship so they are never facing those moments alone. For me, managing these communities was never just about the business — it is about making sure the people who call these parks home feel seen, supported, and valued.
I document this journey on my YouTube channel, Real Estate Roadmap — sharing my work experiences, my thoughts on the affordable housing industry, and what I am learning as a young person growing up inside this business. It is my way of sharing what I am learning and connecting with others who are passionate about the future of affordable housing.

Connecting Tenants to Rent Assistance Resources
I serve my community by helping residents understand and access rental assistance programs when they’re struggling with payments. I created an information page on our community website that explains the main programs, who qualifies, and how to apply in clear, simple language. When tenants fall behind on rent, I reach out directly to let them know about these options and help connect them with the right resources, so they’re not facing financial stress alone.
Sound Vista Kids: How I Turned a Job into a Community Movement
Sound Vista is a mobile home park in Washington — a no-frills community of hardworking families who deserve to feel just as proud of their home as anyone else. As an assistant to the property manager, I saw an opportunity to give something back to the people who make this community what it is.
Behind every door at Sound Vista are real families, real neighbors, and real kids with big dreams. Sound Vista Kids was born from a simple belief — that every community, regardless of its size or income level, deserves to have traditions, to celebrate its people, and to feel a genuine sense of belonging.
I started with the kids because children are the heart of any neighborhood. By celebrating their creativity, their dreams, and their voices, I wanted to give every family a reason to feel proud of where they live and invested in the people around them. No competition, no pressure — just every child getting their own dedicated feature page on the community website and a small thank-you gift card in the mail, as a token of appreciation from management to the families who call Sound Vista home.
What started as an idea has grown into an annual tradition — a recurring celebration that the Sound Vista community can look forward to every year. Sound Vista Kids is about more than the kids. It's about dignity, pride, and proving that belonging isn't determined by your zip code or the size of your home.
Real Estate Roadmap
Real Estate Roadmap is my YouTube channel where I talk about what I am learning from real estate, property management, and mobile home parks. I started it because I grew up around my family’s mobile home park business, and I wanted a place to organize my thoughts, ask better questions, and explain the things I was seeing in real life.
A lot of my videos focus on the parts of real estate that people do not always see from the outside. I talk about property ownership, tenant relationships, financing, mobile home parks, affordable housing, and what it actually takes to operate housing communities. Making these videos has helped me understand that real estate is not just about buying property. It is also about people, maintenance, long-term planning, and making decisions that affect real communities.
The channel has also become a way for me to connect my personal experiences with bigger economic questions. Working around mobile home parks has made me think more about housing affordability, why it is hard to build or preserve affordable housing, and how ownership can create financial stability for families. These are questions I want to keep studying through business, economics, finance, and public policy.
So far, I have made over 40 videos and reached over 6,000 total views. More than the numbers, though, I like that the channel shows my learning process. I am not trying to act like I already know everything. I am using Real Estate Roadmap to learn out loud, share what I notice, and keep building my understanding of housing and real estate.
