About Lewis Yoon

I'm drawn to business, economics, and applied math because I like understanding how real decisions actually get made — the moments when the numbers, the incentives, and the long-term consequences point in different directions. Growing up around manufactured housing made me curious not just about affordability, but about how owners, cities, and investors decide what gets built, what gets preserved, and what disappears over time.

I use housing as a lens for larger questions about markets and strategy: land use, redevelopment, financial modeling, and the tradeoffs behind investment decisions. I like building models, comparing scenarios, and using numbers to make sense of real choices rather than treating economics as something purely theoretical.

That's why I want to study business in college, while continuing to use economics and applied math as tools for analyzing markets, investment, and long-term decision-making. I'm most interested in the questions where finance, policy, and human behavior overlap — especially in housing, where a single parcel of land can tell a much bigger story about incentives, scarcity, and opportunity.
